20th October 2020 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 30 knots Surf / Sea State: 4-6 foot surf Air Temperature: 14ºC Sea Temperature: 13ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Good session, nicely powered with a 5m sail and my little 75ltr wave board. Strong winds and steep ramps led to some nice big jumps. New harness is just too uncomfortable though and after a while my ribs and kidney were killing me. I persevered which was probably a bad idea. Not only could I barely walk by the evening but I couldn't sleep due to the pain and to make matters worse I also managed to destroy my 5m sail in the whitewater. I should have just given up once the pain kicked in. New sail and harness have been ordered. Typically it was my 5m sail that has only been used 25 times before, not my 4.0 or 4.5 which needed replacing anyway. I can't afford any of them so the 4.0 and 4.5m will have to hang on to fight another day. |
